Hello, my name is Karie Kearney, welcome to Miss Moxie Girl. I am so happy you made it to my page. The reason I created this blog was for a factor of reasons, but what pushed me to do it was a friend named Barb Cabot sent me this lovely message that touched my heart and made me start thinking. In a nutshell, she said that I go for what I want, and I possess Moxie. I thought that was the compliment of a lifetime and I was honored to have received such a compliment from such a lovely, smart, and accomplished woman. I am inspired by so many women in this world, women who learn, achieve, love, grow, strive, and never give up on what they want. The definition of Moxie is a force of character, determination, or nerve. “If you’ve got moxie, you need the clothes to match.”
A little bit about myself, I am the proud Mother to my daughter Madison who is the absolute light of my life, she has truly graced my life in every way possible and I am proud to be called Mom. I am the creator of Miss Priss Cupcakes & Such, I opened the bakery in 2008 during a recession and the demise of my marriage. It was one of the best and most fulfilling things I have ever accomplished, and I am proud to say the least. I crave creativity all the time, that is how my brain works, and I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. I am in my fifties and not even close to being finished.
My goal for this blog is to bring women together, to share stories of life, struggle, and accomplishment. We need to inspire one another and share our stories so other women can feel like they are not alone and potentially learn from our life’s mistakes.
Remember, you are not alone, and you are never too old to goal!
Love,
Karie
